Sunshine Recovery gave me hope, security, and the foundation to rebuild my life.
I formed healthy habits, found lasting community, and was supported every step of the way, from regaining custody of my child to getting my own apartment, going to college, and getting a car. Living at Sunshine changed my life.

God’s timing is perfect and there aren’t many words that could express my gratitude to and for SRH, Jenn, and Natasha.
I’ve been plugged in and connected to community, church, and life long friendships ever since they said yes, when they could have said no. I have since graduated college, reunited with my children, and I advocate behind the scenes for families, mamas and people like me! Grateful.

At a time when I felt completely lost and broken, Sunshine Recovery House accepted me without judgment and offered genuine love and compassion when I couldn’t offer it to myself.
Their consistent support helped me reconnect with others, rediscover self-worth, and find joy in life again. I am forever grateful for the impact they’ve had on my life.

I came to Sunshine Recovery house upon leaving treatment at Cenikor in Tyler!
I spent 21 years in active addiction and did not know how to live my life without drugs or alcohol! Natasha and Jenn showed me if they could live a sober life so could I and I wanted what they had!
They truly are role models for recovery! Being at Sunshine gave me the opportunity to gain more sobriety time before I went back home! Sunshine has been the stepping stone from my rock bottom! I am truly grateful for the opportunity to live there and I believe they saved my life!

I am forever grateful to Sunshine. This place didn’t just give me shelter — it gave me hope, healing, and a reason to believe in myself again.
Sunshine became my home, my purpose, and my passion. It was here that I found the strength to become the mother, the wife, and the friend that God always knew I could be. Today, it’s the greatest honor of my life to walk alongside Jenn and help guide other women toward the light of permanent sobriety.
If Sunshine could do this for me, it can do it for anyone. It is an honor to serve along side Jenn and lead the way to permanent sobriety for the next women!

Sunshine Recovery House has been part of my heart since its beginning in 2017, where I have served as Board Secretary, and since 2020 as Executive Director.
I jokingly call myself the “chaos coordinator,” but the truth is I consider it a blessing to oversee the house and walk alongside the women who live at the PinkLady. I’m far from perfect, but by God’s grace I get to remind each woman how deeply worthy she is of the love of Jesus.
I don’t do this work alone. Natasha and I run the house together, supported by an incredible board and the generous Waco community. SRH is a safe, adorable, accountable home where women learn new ways to communicate and work to rebuild their lives. It is an honor to witness the work these ladies do to break the generational chains of addiction to live free in Recovery.
